the 11-month long missing Lisa Irwin said today that he was fired by New York's high-powered Defense Attorney Joe Tacopina.
"Tacopina and I are unable to work as a team," short said Cyndy Attorney at a press conference today. "Our goal and our approach is so different that one of us has to go."
Short fired after he gave a tour of the media family home, which Irwin now say they learned about after the fact.
"After hearing there was a press conference and listen to Mrs. Short statements, we are confident that we made the right decision," parents Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin wrote in a statement e-mailed to ABCNews.com. "One of the reasons we're relieved Mrs. Short because he held his own press conference, making statements to the media, and give a tour of the House that we are finding out about after the fact."
The family also wrote that they learned the FBI was short is not "productive" in their relationship with the family.
