When I was a kid, my report cards usually have the word "conscience" on them. To be honest, "talking too much in the classroom" is also often present.
Regular annual reports, plus a parent-teacher interview, which is usually as far as communication between my parents and teachers. It was the ' 70s and early ' 80s, after all-time very laissez-faire for parent-teacher relationship.
Once, in Grade 10, I had a teacher who really bad (so badly, he was cast out of school before) and my mother complained to the principal. Nothing happened.
If I messed up, I'm screwed-there is nothing to break through into the classroom to complain about bad sign.
It seems that relationships are fun-my mom definitely enjoyed unpacking her fourth on the school system was agreed upon the number of hours a day, while the teacher was pleased to put us to work, with little or no intervention of elderly people.
